Free Fastpitch Softball Drills

Here are a few free fastpitch softball drills that will help you improve yourself like a player thus making you more good at the game you like.

Drill 1 - Two Ts (Softball Striking)

Purpose: To focus on striking to and thru the ball around the sweet place from the softball bat having a line drive contact.

Procedure: Two Ts are put in the same height one directly while watching other having a ball on each. The batter attempts to drive the softball bat with the ball around the first T and into and thru the ball around the second T.

Drill 2 - Leadoffs With Multiple Runners (Softball Baserunning)

Purpose: To rehearse leadoffs each and every base. The whole team can practice.

Procedure: Having a pitcher tossing to some catcher, runners each and every base focus on obtaining a good jump, taking three steps in the beginning and third, and taking five steps at second. Several runners work on each base. Each group completes three leadoffs in a base prior to rotate to another base.

Drill 3 - Wrist Snap Under Knee (Softball Pitching)

Purpose: To rehearse the wrist snap by separating the wrist.

Procedure: Partners stand about 10 ft apart. Pitchers can throw to pitchers. If right-handed the pitcher kneels around the left knee using the right leg bent and also the right feet flat on the floor. The pitching arm is positioned from the leg using the ball and hands underneath the knee. The pitcher flicks the ball in mid-air to her partner by nipping the wrist.

Drill 4 - Drop-Step Reaction (Softball Catching)

Purpose: To understand to react and drop key to the right side.

Procedure: The coach faces gamers, who're in staggered position in 3 or 4 lines. The coach points direction having a ball. Gamers interact with a drop step for the reason that direction. They go back to ready position and repeat. Once the drop step becomes automatic, add some turn with inside and outdoors comes. Adding easy tosses.

Drill 5 - Hit-Ball Line Flicks (Softball Tossing)

Purpose: To complete backhand flicks off hit balls.

Procedure: Two lines of fielders stand about 10 ft apart facing the hitter. A hitter hits a ball towards the first player within the fielding line. The fielder flicks the ball to some teammate in front from the opposite line, who throws to some catcher close to the hitter. The catcher feeds the hitter to ensure that the drill can continue quickly.
